The Lucca Summer Festival is a music festival which is held in Lucca every July. The beautiful settings within the walls of Lucca, including Piazza Napoleone, Piazza San Martino and Piazza Anfiteatro, make for a magical atmosphere at every concert. National and international stars and bands have been coming to Lucca for years, starting with Bob Dylan to the magnificent performances by James Brown, Mark Knopfler, Jamiroquai, Seal, Sugar, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Anastacia, Giorgia and Ennio Morricone.

The Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago is the only one in the world dedicated to the composer, Giacomo Puccini. It takes place every summer during July and August, next to the home that inspired this great composer to produce his immortal melodies. Beginning in 1930, the Puccini Festival has become an increasingly prestigious event which each year attracts thousands of spectators from all over the world. At the Puccini Festival, you can appreciate the great stars of opera under the direction of the most important conductors, and admire the extraordinary productions of the most famous of Puccini's operas: Madame Butterfly, Turandot, La Boheme, Tosca and Manon Lescaut.

Lucca Comics & Games is an exhibition dedicated to comics, animation, games (RPGs, board games, card games), video games, and imaginary fantasy and science fiction. It takes place in Lucca during the last week of October every year. It is considered the most important Italian exhibition industry, second in Europe and third in the world after the Comiket in Tokyo and the Festival international de la bande dessinée d'Angoulême in France.
